Do you want to come to a party? A giveaway for tickets!

If you read me on facebook or follow me on twitter you know I’m a proud member of Slow Food DelmarvaSlow Food is an international organization devoted to REAL FOOD.  There are chapters all over the country and we are lucky to have a small but growing chapter here on Delmarva.  I got involved and joined last year when I attended their apple picking party at TS Smith & Sons orchards in Bridgeville, DE.  You can read about my apple picking experience here.  This past Sunday I spent several hours enjoying one of the best potlucks ever at the annual meeting of SFD and you can see the photos of the amazing eats here.  Not everything was vegan but what I ate was stellar.  I also had great conversations with chefs, farmers, food writers, and foodies.  And tried some herbal tea that was, unsweetened even, one of the best things I’ve ever consumed.

So I’ve established that this is a fun group of people who like to eat good food.  Don’t they sound like the kind of people you’d like to hang out with?  You can!

On Friday April 27th from 5-10 pm Hobo’s Restaurant in Rehobeth Beach Delaware will be hosting their 3rd Anniversary party with Slow Food in attendance!  You register for a ticket and then there is a $10 donation at the door for a fabulous Tapas Bar celebrating the street foods of Mexico, Europe, and the Mediterranean!  There will also be a cash bar and Hobo’s will be donating a large portion of the proceeds to Slow Food for our mission to teach children about healthy food.  Doesn’t that sound like a win?

I’ll be there.

Want to join me?

You can definitely click that link, get your own tickets, and see me there  OR you could enter to win 2 tickets that do not require a donation, an exclusive for RA Vegan readers!

You’ll need to get yourself to Rehobeth Beach and, if you’re not local, find your own lodging.  But it’s a beautiful beach town in April!  And you’ll get the chance to hang out with cool people, talk food, and eat great stuff, all for a good cause.  Hey, I’ll even buy you a drink if you want!  (That last part is a bonus, thrown in by me, and not necessarily endorsed by SFD!)

So you are now thinking “Jen?  How do I win such a wonderful prize?  I want to hang out with you, support educational programs on Delmarva, and eat amazing food!”  (Ok.  You’re probably not.  But it sounded good!)

You leave me a comment!  You can also like Slow Food Delmarva on facebook and get a second entry!  (Leave me a separate comment that you liked SFD)  This giveaway will be open through April 11th (2 weeks)!  Anyone who can get themselves to Rehobeth, DE on the night of April 27th is welcome to enter.  You don’t need to be a vegan, you just need to like good food!  Spread the word!

As a little aside, I might have *um* dropped my laptop and it might have *um* died so I don’t have current access to any of my photos which explains the lack of photos in this post.
